Overview
The Care Timeline provides a chronological view of all patient care events with automatic translation of doctor's notes into insurance billing codes. This visual representation helps track patient care progression and ensures accurate claim coding.
Timeline Structure
Events are displayed chronologically from top to bottom with connecting lines showing care progression
Left side shows doctor's notes in plain English, right side displays mapped insurance codes
Green checkmarks indicate completed care events that have been coded and are ready for billing
Event Card Components
- Step Badge: Sequential step number (Step 1, Step 2, etc.)
- Timestamp: Date and time when care event occurred
- Doctor's Note: Plain English description of care provided
- Insurance Codes: Mapped ICD-10, CPT, or HCPCS codes with descriptions

International Classification of Diseases codes for patient diagnoses and conditions
Current Procedural Terminology codes for medical procedures and services
Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System for supplies, equipment, and services

Claim Coding Summary
At the bottom of the timeline, a collapsible summary card displays all mapped codes and the estimated claim amount. This summary includes:
- Complete list of all ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes from the timeline
- Code descriptions and verification checkmarks
- Total estimated claim amount based on standard reimbursement rates
- Quick action buttons to submit claim or export summary
Animations and Visual Feedback
Timeline events animate in sequentially with a smooth slide-in effect
Event cards highlight on hover to improve readability and interaction
Summary card can be expanded or collapsed with smooth transition animations
Integration with Claim Submission
The Care Timeline directly integrates with the Claim Submission module. When you click "Submit to Insurance" from the summary card, all mapped codes are automatically included in the claim submission process.

- Ensure all care events are documented in chronological order
- Review AI-mapped codes for accuracy before submission
- Add detailed notes for complex procedures to improve code accuracy
- Use the timeline to identify any missing documentation
